We strive to make our pricing fair and transparent. Whether your matter is billed on a flat-fee or hourly basis, you won’t run into surprises. Cost is laid out plainly in writing before the work gets underway. Our standard hourly rate is $350.
Estate Planning
Trust-based estate plan (including trust, will(s), power(s) of attorney, medical directive(s) and related documents): starting at $4,500/couple, $3,500/individual, depending on the complexity of the estate.
Will-based estate plan (when a trust is not needed): starting at $3,300/couple, $2,400/individual.
A la carte instruments (like a power of attorney or deed): starting at $750.
Factors that can increase complexity: blended family, multiple properties, mix of separate and community property, special needs planning, or a language barrier.

Trustee guidance is billed by the hour at our standard hourly rate, with a retainer deposit collected at the start of the engagement. The total cost depends on the complexity of the trust estate — factors include the number of properties, whether real property needs to be sold, tax complications, family disagreements, and business interests. We'll discuss the likely range before work begins.

Our fee for probate is a percentage of the gross value of the probate estate, per California Probate Code section 10810 (4% on the first $100,000, 3% on the next $100,000, 2% on the next $800,000, and so on). Court filing fees and other costs are in addition to the attorney fee.
